Flovac undertakes the Environmental Project at Laguna Grande.\u00a0The natural beauty of Villafranca de los Caballeros in Toledo is being safeguarded by an environmentally significant project that has commenced in the Laguna Grande, an ecological treasure to the north of the town. This ambitious project, led by the Empresa de Transformaci\u00f3n Agraria, S.A. (TRAGSA), has awarded FLOVAC<\/a> the responsibility of supplying the pipes for the vacuum system and vacuum wells.<\/span><\/p>\n

Laguna Grande, natural space<\/h2>\n

The Laguna Grande<\/a> is not just a picturesque spot; it is also part of the \"Reserva Natural de las Lagunas Grande y Chica de Villafranca de los Caballeros\" (Natural Reserve of the Great and Small Lakes of Villafranca de los Caballeros. This wetland enclave holds significant ecological importance as it is part of the Natura 2000 Network, Zona de Especial Protecci\u00f3n para las Aves (ZEPA)<\/a> y Lugar de Inter\u00e9s Comunitario (LIC)<\/a> \"Humedales de La Mancha\". Additionally, it holds the distinction of being a Natural Reserve and Wildlife Refuge, integrating into the Biosphere Reserve of La Mancha H\u00fameda.<\/span><\/p>\n

Despite these characteristics, the surrounding urbanization, especially in the southern zone, lacks adequate sanitation and purification infrastructure for water. The current situation relies on the use of individual septic tanks, leading to the detection of concerning pollution phenomena in the lagoon due to the infiltration of wastewater from these tanks. Faced with this issue, it has been deemed necessary to undertake preventive actions to avoid considerable environmental damage.<\/span><\/p>\n

Flovac's proposed solution to this environmental challenge involves the construction of a vacuum collector operating under negative pressure. Additionally, vacuum and pumping facilities will be implemented to connect wastewater with Villafranca's sanitation network. This innovative approach not only addresses the current pollution but also establishes a sustainable system to maintain the ecosystem's integrity in the future.<\/span><\/p>\n
