Flovac at IFAT Munich 2026: innovation, sustainability and the future of vacuum sewer systems

From May 4th to 7th, Flovac took part in IFAT Munich 2026, one of the world’s leading international trade fairs for water, waste, sustainability and environmental infrastructure management.

Held in Munich, Germany, IFAT brings together thousands of professionals, companies and industry experts every year to showcase the latest technological innovations and discuss the major environmental challenges of the future.

For Flovac, participating in this event represented a great opportunity to strengthen our international presence and share our expertise in vacuum sewer systems with professionals from around the world.

A meeting point for innovation and sustainability

During the exhibition, our team was present at Hall B1 – Stand 233, showcasing some of the solutions we develop to optimize wastewater management in complex and sustainable environments.

IFAT Munich is much more than a trade fair; it is a space where the trends shaping the future of urban and environmental infrastructure are defined. Sustainability, energy efficiency, digitalization and resource optimization were some of the key topics highlighted during this year’s edition.

In this context, vacuum sewer systems continue to position themselves as an increasingly efficient and sustainable alternative to conventional systems, especially in coastal areas, marinas, ports, resorts, tourism infrastructures and environmentally sensitive locations.

The role of vacuum systems in the cities of the future

One of the most important aspects of our participation at IFAT was the opportunity to share how vacuum technology helps reduce water consumption, minimize environmental impact and optimize sanitation infrastructure in projects where traditional solutions face greater limitations.

Flovac systems allow wastewater to be transported efficiently using lower amounts of water while reducing the need for deep excavation works — something particularly important in sensitive environments or projects where sustainability is a priority.

In addition, these solutions offer significant advantages in terms of maintenance, operational efficiency and adaptability to modern infrastructures designed for the future.

International connections and new opportunities

IFAT Munich also provided an excellent opportunity to connect with engineering companies, operators, partners and professionals from different countries, creating new collaboration opportunities and enabling the exchange of knowledge and experiences regarding the current challenges of wastewater and water management.

The event once again confirmed the growing need for more efficient, sustainable and resilient technologies capable of responding to current and future environmental challenges.

Thank you for visiting us

At Flovac, we would like to thank everyone, clients and collaborators who visited our stand during the exhibition.

We remain committed to developing innovative and sustainable solutions that contribute to building more efficient and environmentally responsible infrastructures.

We look forward to seeing you again in future projects and international events.
