Flovac will take part in the national meeting of the nautical and marina sector on 4 and 5 November, to be held in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.
Pasito Blanco Marina will host this event, bringing together public authorities, operators and experts to discuss the future of marinas.
Flovac will be present at the 2nd National Congress of Marinas of Spain, taking place on 4 and 5 November 2026 in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, further establishing the event as one of the leading meeting points for professionals and organisations involved in Spain’s marina and nautical tourism sector.
Under the theme “Strategic Infrastructure for Coastal Development”, this second edition will bring together key industry stakeholders to address some of the main challenges and opportunities shaping the present and future of Spanish marinas.
Flovac’s participation also forms part of its role as a Main Partner of Marinas de España, an alliance that reinforces the company’s commitment to innovation, sustainability and the modernisation of port infrastructure.
Efficient wastewater management for the marinas of the future
Marinas face particularly demanding conditions when it comes to designing wastewater infrastructure. Proximity to the sea, high groundwater levels, the need to minimise excavation and the importance of protecting the marine environment all require solutions specifically adapted to these conditions.
In this context, vacuum sewer systems offer a particularly suitable alternative for this type of facility.
The technology enables wastewater to be conveyed through a sealed network using negative pressure, allowing pipes to be installed at shallower depths and reducing excavation requirements compared with certain conventional systems. It also makes it easier to adapt the network to the specific characteristics of each port or marina.
